It had been a long time since Susan had been completely alone. With David dead and her children grown, all there was for her to do was live her life for herself. Her long, impossibly alien life. Being around humans for so long, those fascinating, beautiful creatures had been too much of an influence on her. For so long she had forgotten that she wasn't going to die as quickly as anyone around her, and that she would likely outlive her children (for who knew if they would be able to regenerate or not?). Now though, alone in the universe again, she had time to think, to observe.
With a grocery bag in hand, Susan couldn't help but smile as the sky cleared over London. What a beautiful day this would be.
